Escher Luanda is the company secretary at the GIPF, in charge governance and ethics for both the Fund and subsidiaries. Escher is the chairperson of the Namibian Institute of Corporate Governance, serves on the Committee for Responsible Investing in South Africa (CRI¬SA) and is a Fellow of the Mauritius Institute of Directors He serves on governance committee of both the African Corporate Governance Network and is Regional Correspondent of the International Corporate Governance Network for the Southern African Region. He is a certified ethics officer (TEI/USB) and an integrated reporting practi¬tioner (IIRC). He has studied law, governance, compliance and leadership. He is an admitted legal practitioner (Namibia).

Escher Luanda


Gerson Veundja Kamatuka is a Master HR Practitioner whose mission is serving humanity at a high intellectual level. His passion for Employee Benefits prompted him to do his Thesis on ‘Reformation of the Retirement Funds Industry in Namibia’, as a requirement for his Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) at the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands. He is currently Chairperson of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) Retirement Fund and also Deputy Chairperson of the Retirement Funds Institute of Namibia (RFIN). Gerson is a key individual in the Retirement Funds industry since 2010 and has spoken at various conferences in South Africa and Namibia.

Gerson Veundja Kamatuka


Sabrina Jacobs is a Human Resources and Industrial Relations professional. She has worked for multi-national and local companies in the Oil and Gas, Retail and Hospitality Industries. She has 10 years’ experience in the Human Resources and Labour Relations fields, of which 8 of those years were at managerial level. She is the holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and an Honours Degrees in Human Resources & Labour Relations obtained from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Ms. Jacobs has completed the Senior Management Development Programme through the University of Stellenbosch Business School. Further experience includes recruitment, training and development, job profiling, succession planning, employee engagement and payroll management. She has also been directly involved in the pension fund day to day administration as a Trustee and as Principal Officer.

Sabrina Jacobs


Ramon Hansen is a seasoned executive with more than 15 years’ experience in the employment benefit space. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Namibia and an MBA from the University of the Orange Free State. Currently employed as the COO at Alexander Forbes Namibia, he leads the Consulting, Administration and Actuarial Teams in the business. He encourages others to develop themselves, believes in the value of people and hastens to put issues up for debate to seek common ground, mutual understanding and a definite action plan for implementation. He is married to Maureen and have two children, Chloe and Chad.

Ramon Hansen


Ndeendelao Kambala is employed in the Risk and Analytics Division in the Financial Markets Department at Bank of Namibia since 2010. She is an Employee-Elect Trustee and serves on both the Investment Committee as well as on the Claim Committee for the Bank of Namibia Provident fund. Mrs Kambala holds a Bachelor of Technology (Economics) from Namibia University of Science & Technology and obtained a Master of Science in Investment Analysis with Distinction from the University of Stirling, Scotland, UK. She also holds a Trading & Financial Market Analysis Certificate from the same University. Additionally, she obtained an Advanced Diploma in Banking, Finance & Credit from the Namibian Institute of Bankers. Mrs Kambala is a part-time Lecturer at the University of Namibia (Namibia Business School (NBS)).

Ndeendelao Kambala


Justine Shipanga is a seasonal professional in the Financial Services sector, having been in the industry for the past 12 years. She holds a Bachelor of Economics degree, a professional certificate in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning and completed the Management Development Program (MDP) through the University of Stellenbosch Business School. She is also a Certified Financial Planner®. She is currently employed at Alexander Forbes Namibia Financial Services as a Senior Consultant overseeing a portfolio of Standalone Pension Funds and those on the Umbrella Funds. She has a double-passion for Pensions and Investments respectively.

Justine Shipanga


Marthinuz Fabianus is Deputy Managing Director and MD designate at Retirement Fund Solutions (RFS) Namibia. Holding a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and National Diploma Commerce from Namibia University of Science & Technology (NUST), he also completed a Senior Management Development Programme from University of Stellenbosch. For international exposure, he completed a macroeconomics course at the International Training Centre (ITC) of International Labour Organisation (ILO) in association with the University of Turin in Italy. Marthinuz has extensive board experience, having served on the Board of RFS for the past 14 years. He also served the board of Social Security Commission Namibia for 3 years. Closer to home, he served as President of the Retirement Funds Institute of Namibia during 2005/2006, served on the board of Benchmark Retirement Fund since 2003 and has 23 years of pension fund industry experience.

Marthinuz Fabianus


Notburga Mathias is an administrator with 20years experience in public and private sector business management skilled in financial services regulation, auditing, accounting, inspection and pension fund administration. She previously worked at NAMFISA and the Office of the Auditor General. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Private Law and Business Management from University of South Africa (UNISA), a National Diploma in Financial Accounting and Economics from Namibia University of Science & Technology (NUST)and completed a Junior Management Development Program (JMDP) through the University of Stellenbosch Business School. She is the current Retirement Funds Institute of Namibia’s Operations Manager since 2013. She is passionate about going an extra mile, beyond the call of duty and life.

Operations Manager
